Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Multicultural-based Hand Puppet Book media on the problem solving skills of fourth grade elementary school students in Depok sub-district, Yogyakarta. This type of research is quantitative. Data collection was done by pretest and posttest. Data analysis used the normality test, homogeneity, independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test on problem solving skills, it obtained a significance value of 0.000 (control class I) and 0.000 (control class II). The significance value obtained is <0.05, which means that there is a significant multicultural-based Hand Puppet Book media influence on problem solving skills.
