Abstract

In the field of education, it is inseparable from the learning process carried out in the classroom. A teacher can see the success of his learning by proving that students master the overall concepts of the material taught. In addition, students can show completeness when taking tests or assessments. This study will examine students' views on offline quizzes organised by teachers as well as students' interest in taking them. The data in this study will be analysed using the exchange theory of George C. Homans. Homans offers four propositions that are possible to be material for students to be interested in quizzes conducted by teachers. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. In this research, researchers use a theory to support research to get answers and conclusions in their research. The theory used in this research is the Social Exchange Theory by George Homans. The research location was MI Miftahul Ulum Batu City. The subjects of this research were MI Miftahul Ulum fifth grade students and teachers. The results of interviews that have been conducted with several students, students feel happy, enthusiastic and excited to take the quiz. This is because the teacher gave rewards after the quiz was completed. Rewards given include money, goods, services and praise. This is in line with the theory put forward by George Casper Homans where the provision of rewards can be in the form of cash, goods, services and sentiments. data and analysis described by the researcher, it can be concluded that the offline quiz at MI Miftahul Ulum analyses the preposition of success in accordance with the exchange theory that has been coined by George C. Homans. Homans. Giving rewards in the form of praise, money, goods and privileges after an offline quiz is judged successful to increase student enthusiasm in doing offline quizzes.
