Abstract

This research aims to datermine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with the assistance of the Crossword Puzzle media on the learning outcomes of the Indonesia Language for the 1st-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Al Muttaqien. This research empolys a pre-experimental design with a one-group prtest-posttest form. Data collection techniques in this study involve multiple-choice tests. The population in this research consists of all 1st-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Al Muttaqien, totaling 8 students. The research consists of three phases: pretest, treatment, and posttest. The conclusion drawn from the results of this research is that there is an impact on the learning outcomes of the Indonesian Language for the 1st-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Al Muttaqien when using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with the assistance of the Crossword Puzzle media. This is supported by the statistical significance value (2-tailed) of 0,000, which is less than the significance level (α) of 0,05 indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. In other words, there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. When looking at the t-value, which is negative (-18,205), it means that the average pretest score is lower than the average posttest score. Therefore, it can be concluded that “There is an influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with the assistance of the Crossword Puzzle media on the learning outcomes of the Indonesian Language for the 1st-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Al Muttaqien.
