Abstract

The leadership model of Islamic education with its various characteristics has a major role in improving the quality of Islamic education. When the leadership model is poor, it will affect the quality of education in an Islamic education institution. This research aims to find the reasons why Islamic education leadership has not been effective in managing Islamic education institutions. This research was conducted by means of literature research. Literature research was used to find references to the Islamic education leadership model. The research found that the Islamic education leadership model supports the good and bad levels of quality of Islamic education institutions. Among the causes is the existence of leaders of Islamic education institutions whose leadership is bad so that it affects the quality of Islamic education institutions. The result of this research is to contribute to the importance of a good and suitable Islamic education leadership model in improving the quality of Islamic education.
