Abstract

This article discusses the role of parents in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum learning evaluation. The Merdeka Curriculum is an educational initiative in Indonesia that provides schools and teachers with more freedom in designing learning. Learning evaluation plays a central role in assessing the extent to which educational goals are achieved, and in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, the role of parents becomes crucial. Parents serve not only as educators, motivators, facilitators, and guides, but also as educational partners who support the development and progress of their children's education. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review. The study involves 6 parents as research subjects, and a literature review is used to support the findings from the interviews. The results of interviews with various parents reveal diverse approaches and roles played by parents in supporting their children's education in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. Despite challenges such as work commitments, parents strive to be actively involved in their children's education. Strong collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents can create a more effective educational environment.
