Abstract

The author conducted this research to overcome the problems encountered during PPL where students' interest in learning was low and only seemed active at the beginning of the lesson and it was seen that the rest of the students were sleepy and bored following PPKn learning in their class, therefore this PTK was carried out as an effort for teachers to reflect on their performance as teachers and also carried out an analysis of increasing students' interest in learning in Civics subjects by implementing a culturally responsive teaching approach which can increase students' interest in learning in Civics subjects in class XI.10 SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. This research was conducted for 2 months with 2 meeting cycles through 4 research stages using descriptive qualitative research methods. Based on this research, it can be concluded that: the application of Culturally Responsive Teaching can increase students' interest in learning if it is carried out according to the steps and also has an impact on improving students' learning outcomes in Civics subjects in class XI. 10 SMA Negeri 33 Palembang academic year 2023/2024.
