APPLICATION OF STORYBOARD TECHNIQUE IN IMPROVING SHORT STORY WRITING SKILLS OF CLASS IX STUDENTS OF SMPIT NURUL ILMI JAMBI

Storyboard technique learning media is a learning media is a learning media that will be presented to students and teachers as facilitators in guiding students in the learning process. This study aims to determine the improvment in short story writing skills of class IX students on short story material at SMPIT Nurul Ilmi Jambi. The research was conducted from February 17 to March 4, 2023. The research method was class action research (classroom action research) with a design consisting of four series which were carried out in the one cycle. The subject of this research were class IX D students at SMPIT Nurul Ilmi Jambi. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, short story writing test, and pictures. Data analysis techniques namely qualitative data nalysis techniques, namely analyzing data from the learning process and learning outcomes. The quality of the results of learning to write short stories in class IX using pictures with the Storyboard techniques has increased. The average value of students in cycle I was 73,76 and in cycle II was 85,12 the average value increase fromcycle I to cycle was 11,36. The results of the analysis show that picture media using the Storyboard technique is more effective in increasing students creativity in writing short stories and making students more active in the learning process.Unduhan
