About the Journal

The Journal of Planning and Development Review (JPDR) is a leading open-access publication presenting research and studies on the impact and implementation of spatial planning across various disciplines. The journal is committed to promoting equity and sustainability from socio-cultural, economic, environmental, and institutional perspectives across rural and urban areas in Indonesia and globally. Its primary objective is to provide insights into recent achievements in sustainable development in urban and rural areas through the implementation of spatial planning policies.

JPDR is published biannually in May and November and accepts research papers, research notes, literature reviews, and book reviews in both Indonesian and English. All manuscripts undergo an editorial selection process, followed by peer review. Once published, articles can be identified by their DOI and downloaded for free. All manuscripts must go through the Online Submission process to complete the journal's publication process. The journal is developed by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Universitas Pasundan, in collaboration with the Indonesian Planning Schools Association (ASPI-Asosiasi Sekolah Perencanaan Indonesia) and the Association of Regional Planning Experts (IAP-Ikatan Ahli Perencanaan Regional West Java).

The journal proudly offers free access to its content, believing that making research available to everyone will foster dynamic global knowledge exchange, open networks, and enrich our collective understanding.
