The September 2026 issue of  Journal of Community Based Environmental Engineering and Management features five articles addressing environmental sustainability, public health, and pollution management. The first article examines membrane bioreactor technology for seaweed wastewater treatment, demonstrating its potential as an environmentally friendly solution. The second article assesses the environmental impacts of small-scale yogurt production in Bogor using life cycle assessment, identifying greenhouse gas emissions as the primary impact and raw milk sourcing as a major contributor. The third article reviews the historical contribution of sanitation to human development, emphasizing disease prevention, environmental protection, and equitable access to safe sanitation services. The fourth article explores international evidence on carbon taxation, highlighting its potential to reduce industrial emissions and the importance of effective implementation in Indonesia. The fifth article investigates littering behavior on campus, finding that accessible waste bins may encourage proper waste disposal. Collectively, these studies emphasize practical environmental solutions, evidence-based policymaking, and sustainable community behavior.
