PENGARUH EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT (EQ) DAN ADVERSITY QUOTIENT (AQ) TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SEMESTER GANJIL TAHUN AJARAN 2023/2024

This study aims to determine how emotional quotient and adversity quotient influence the mathematics learning achievement of grade 8th odd-semester students at SMP Negeri 2 Pujut in the 2023/2024 academic year, both partially and simultaneously. This research is quantitative research with an ex post facto method. The population was 119 class VIII students. Using simple random sampling, a sample of 36 students was obtained. The data collection method used in this research was by distributing an emotional quotient questionnaire containing 20 statements, an adversity quotient questionnaire containing eighteen statements, and a mathematics learning achievement test in the form of four essay questions with material on Cartesian coordinates, relations and functions, and straight-line equations. By using regression analysis the results were obtained: 1) There is a positive and significant influence of emotional quotient on students' mathematics learning achievement with a contribution of 29.1%; 2) There is a positive and significant influence of the adversity quotient on students' mathematics learning achievement with a contribution of 26.8%; 3) There is a joint positive and significant influence between emotional quotient and adversity quotient on students' mathematics learning achievement with a contribution of 47.5%.Downloads
