Abstract

This article explores the intersection between the philosophy of science and scientific methodology in the context of digital learning. Utilizing a literature study approach, this research aims to identify and analyze how principles of the philosophy of science can influence and enrich the application of scientific methods in digital learning. The article examines various philosophy of science perspectives, including positivism, post-positivism, constructivism, and the pragmatic paradigm, to understand how these views can shape the design, implementation, and evaluation of scientific methods in digital education. Through an in-depth literature analysis, this study finds that the philosophy of science not only provides a conceptual framework for researchers and educators in designing and implementing digital learning practices but also challenges existing assumptions and encourages methodological innovation. The research results indicate that the integration of the philosophy of science and scientific methods enhances the effectiveness and relevance of digital learning, especially in the context of 21st-century education. This article provides recommendations for practitioners and researchers in the field of educational technology to more integrally incorporate philosophical thinking into the development and evaluation of digital learning methods.
